I am excited to announce that the newest collaboration with Yassmo’ has led to another album release. Back in November 2016, we had our first gig with this new project – a double concert feat. Pimpy Panda at the Alfter Jazznacht Festival in Bonn. The live recordings from our concert were so full of energy and intimate moments, so we decided to mix, master and release them. This marks the first album release with Yassmo’tion records and features Yassmo’ (keys, voc), Antonio Fusco (drums), Igor Lazarev (git), myself (sax&ewi) and a special performance by Daniel Hopf on bass.

I found a trailer by Herbert Kaupert for the Dottendorfer Jazznacht 2017, where I’ll be performing with Yassmo’ (keys & voc), Antonio Fusco (drums) and Igor Lazarev (guitar). Our first album is going to be available soon!
Funny sidenote, this video marks the first time I have ever seen my name spelled as “Dang Thai”.
From the 1st of April on, Lonneke and I will be in New Orleans assisting a travel group for JazzTouren.de during this year’s French Quarter Festival. I’m really looking forward to seeing some of my good friends again and getting a chance to sit in with New Orlean’s finest!! Laissez les bons temps rouler!
